Policy Statement: Boat Coach will offer a fair system of payment and refund for all students and clients that is in line with national standards. This policy applies to all students and clients who agree to the payment terms of Boat Coach outlined in the policy

1. General Policy

All bookings with Boat Coach are final upon payment. By booking, you agree to the terms outlined below.

2. Online Theory Component

Access to the online theory training is provided immediately upon enrolment. Via email or our webpage link - https://www.boatcoachtraining.com.au/pages/online-theory

If you reschedule your practical session, your online theory access remains valid.

3. Customer Cancellations (Practical Training Sessions)

More than 7 days’ notice: Booking may be rescheduled to another available date, subject to availability.

A $150 admin fee applies if you cannot reschedule and request cancellation.

7 days to 24 hours’ notice: Bookings can be rescheduled to another date, subject to availability. No refunds are provided.

Less than 24 hours’ notice or no-show: The booking is forfeited, with no refund or reschedule.

4. Provider-Initiated Reschedules

Boat Coach may reschedule courses due to weather conditions, safety considerations, or operational requirements.

In these circumstances, your booking will be transferred to the next available course date that suits you.

Refunds are not provided where a course is rescheduled. Instead, a rescheduled date (or a course credit valid for 12 months) will be offered.

Online theory access remains valid and unaffected.

5. Show-Up Without Requirements

If you attend your scheduled practical session but cannot participate because you:

have not completed the online theory,

fail to bring correct photo identification, or

Otherwise do not meet the course requirements (failure of theory, practical requirements)

then your booking will need to be rescheduled, and a $150 reschedule fee will apply.

6. Refunds (Limited Circumstances)

Refunds will only be provided where:

Boat Coach is unable to deliver the practical course within a reasonable timeframe (as required under Australian Consumer Law), or

You are otherwise legally entitled to a refund under the ACL (for example, where the service is not provided with due care and skill).

In all cases, the online theory portion is non-refundable from Boat Coach once access has been granted. Due to third party supplier

7. Fairness and Compliance

This policy ensures that:

Customers are not disadvantaged by unavoidable reschedules.

Boat Coach can continue operating courses efficiently and safely.

All rights under the Australian Consumer Law are preserved.
